Gran Turismo 5

So the game is finally out. I bought the Signature Edition, yay me.

I played for about 3-4 hours now and am liking it pretty much especially the Kart racing. Also took some picture in Photo Mode and I think they look great. :)

Honda Civic Type R (EK) '97

Chevrolet IMPALA 2010 Jeff Gordon #24 DuPont

Nissan Fairlady Z 280Z-L 2-seater (S130) '78

Gran Turismo PDI Racing Kart 100

These are the cars I currently have in the game(not much I know) that I have driven.

Accident #3!!

Well, what a sad month for me.

I had a motorcycle accident last Friday while I'm on my way to work. Car slowed down, moved to the left, I tried to overtake, car tried to cut in front of me, my motorcycle got hit, I high-side, rolled over at least twice and then fractured my right collar bone at the same time. Apparently I'm a tough guy and that was the only injury incurred to me... and 1 or 2 scratches. My thanks to the one person who stayed and talked to me the entire time I was lying on the floor, I remember her name was Kelly.

Worst bit, I was told the driver that was involved took off before the police came. Here's hoping there are CCTV's in place.

My motorcycle doesn't seem to have gotten much damage. Foot pegs on both sides were bent, so were the gear shifter and the rear brake pedal. The tip of the clutch lever broke off and the brake lever was bent as well. The right side indicator was hanging, a scratch on the right side front fork and a scratch on the right fuel tank cover. Also, scratches on the exhaust.

It's probably the last time I'll be riding a motorcycle. As mentioned, it's the 3rd time I had a motorcycle accident since I started riding in 2008.

For me, getting minor injuries isn't much of a problem but dealing with insurance companies, police, investigation, etc, etc... is much more a pain in the ass than dealing with the injury.

Stuff and Updates

There wont be any updates from me for a while(dunno maybe more than a month again :)). Only thing I can say right now is that I finally started airbrushing my PG Gundam Astray Red Frame. Still puts a smile on my face everything I look at the coloured piece of plastic that I just did a couple of hours ago.

Only bad thing about airbrushing for me is when I'm priming. My room is small and the window is behind my TV so I can't really open it. The problem with the primer is the smell and the fumes(?). Since it is really cold outside so early in the season, well, I can't really do it outside. We'll see how it goes but dang, I should've started airbrushing ever since I got my kit a year ago. :)

Updates as they come.

Airbrush

Right, so I finally used my airbrush kit after gathering dust for more than a year. I've only ever tried it on paper and wasn't too sure whether if it'll look good on plastic models with my skills.

Now that I've tried it though, I'm definitely going to use it on my next one. Here's hoping that it'll turn out OK as far as my skills with airbrush is concerned.... I'm a beginner at it afterall. No fine detailing though as I would most likely mess it up. :)

Kanpei Gundam Finish!!

Yes it's finally done!!

I had some issues having those glitters on the weapon. Since I did not want to use the sticker as they looked horrible, I bought this finger nail lacquer from ebay.

It worked quite well except that when it touched the part with the gundam marker, it dissolved the paint from the marker so I had to apply it carefully which was a real pain in the A**. It was also quite hard to distribute it equally on the surface. I still managed to, somehow, and the weapon turned out quite nicely.

More or less good I guess so hopefully I wont have to use that glitter lacquer anymore. :)
Here's the final model. Only one pose as I can't be a***d to do some more. ;)

And finally all 4 BB Gundams I've made so far. I'm thinking of re-doing Bacho Blue as it looks quite horrible.

Tamiya "Fine" Surface Primer

Wow, 3 posts in 1 day. :)

So I decided to use one of the Tamiya primers that I just bought and I have to say that it works really good compared to the one I was using before. The coat is very thin.

I'll be using this type of surface primer from Tamiya from now on. Definitely recommend it.

Itsaaa Hiiiiaaaa

Strange really. Another guy from Royal Mail came and delivered it. "It" as in my MG Sinanju!! :)
Seriously, Royal Mail needs to sort out how they deliver their customer's parcel. It's just not very efficient IMO.

The guys who sent it to me also included a small gundam sticker handbook. Unfortunately, everything's in japanese so I can't read it. Btw, the Sinanju pack also included a red medallion which looks pretty nice.

Here's some pic... actually only 2 :)

Here it is. I've dreamed about doing it one day last year when I first started doing gunpla's.

The medallion is the round thing at the bottom, between the feet.

And this is the sticker booklet. Pretty awesome stuff.

New tools and stuff

Postman just rang my doorbell and gave me these.

2x cans of Tamiya Fine Surface Primer White

1x can of Tamiya Fina Surface Primer Grey

1x Gundam Marker White

3-brush set of Tamiya HF Modelling Brush (Size 0 & 2; 1 Ultra Fine)

Even though I already have a White Primer can, I wanted to see how fine these Timaya primers are as the one I currently have is quite thick.

Also, not really the parcel I was expecting. Where's my Sinanju?!

Kanpei Gundam #08

Body & armour done!!! Yatta!!!

Only pose it can do with the hands. :)

The 2 armour parts for the back that I did below this post can actually be used, or rather equipped on both arms as some sort of claws. But to do that I'd have to remove the green armour that is currently attached on the arms, which I did but w/o success. Either way, it's looking good.

Last thing left to do is the weapon/spear then I can finally move on to the next one, most likely the Armored Core Noblesse Oblige.

Kanpei Gundam #07

Finally finished painting these parts. Turned out pretty well although you can probably see in the image below that gold part didn't cover some area which I'll be correcting after I post this one.

It's finally almost done. :)

Again, the green is much darker than that. The camera flash simply made the colour lighter.

City of Wonder

I've been playing this game on facebook for the last 24 hours now and find it really quite addicting especially for me because it plays pretty much the same as Sid Meier's Civilization.

It also has things that looks like farmville(not too sure as I've never played it and don't ever want to). Basically you have a 2x2 tile which you can either plant, mine, etc, etc... Then there's also the part of building World Wonders ala Civilization except that you will need FB friends to help you out to complete it.

The interface looks like this. If you like Civilization, you'll most likely like this game to pass and/or waste time. :)

Kanpei Gundam #06

Here's some more update.

Acrylics paint and Gundam Markers doesn't quite get along on top of each other. Even though both are acrylics. Quite tough having 3 different colours on a single, small plastic part.

Turned out quite nicely. IMO, BB Gundams looks best in matte.

And no, those PS3 games did not fell off. :)

These were the 3 pieces that was attached on the right shoulder/arm. I didn't really had much problem with these except for the small red colour on top of the gold one.

Looks nice all in all. The only thing left is the back decoration part or whatever you call it and the weapon. Kanpei's weapon might be a bit hard as it has glittering part on it and I really do not want to use the sticker as it really looks shitteh IMO.

Tuesday 19 October 2010

Nothing

The ebay seller already sent it and as I thought, those damn RM people couldn't deliver a 1st class mail within 1-2 days in my area. Anyways, I'm still pre-occupied with my current BB Gundam. 5 or 6 parts left to do and I'm done with it. Will probably post 2-3 more updates.

Btw, just ordered pizza. :)

Monday 18 October 2010

Just Bought Something

I was trying to avoid spending money but it's hopeless. Was browsing ebay and came across a MG Sinanju for £59.00 incl. shipping. The seller is in the UK so I don't have to wait 2+ weeks to wait for it coming from, usually, HK/TW/CN/JP.

Hopefully the guy/gal is sending it today so I'll get it either tomorrow or the day after.
My allowance this month is running out quick. :)

I've also been looking for water slide decals for this kit but unfortunately they've all been sold out for quite some time.

Wednesday 13 October 2010

Kanpei Gundam #05

Keep 'em coming.
Little update. I tried to use acrylics paint on it to see how it looks and have to say that it turned out quite nicely although the green colour that I used is a little brighter/lighter than what I need.

The colour looks actually much darker. It became like that because of the camera flash.

Monday 11 October 2010

Kanpei Gundam #04

Done the head decoration part or whatever you call it.
Turned out quite all right I must say.

 Here's the head.
And here's the head attached to the body.

Here's hoping to finish it within the next 7 days. :)

Saturday 9 October 2010

Kanpei Gundam #03

1 month, 1 post. :)

Finally some update again on this BB Gundam. The legs are finally done... actually the side was done since the 2nd update so I guess I just got lazy continuing it again.

Either way it's looking good with the Gundam Marker but some how I feel the colour is lacking something. Dunno what but something.

Legs done.

Gatai!!!
All good!!

1 year!!!!

OMG LOL

I was just checking the blog history and to my surprise, it has been 1 year since I started using this blog with a total of less then 40 post. :D

That's all, just want to let you(if anyone) know. :)

I Am MOVEing

Yo to anyone (if anyone) who visit this more-or-less crap blog. :)

Tis been a month since I posted, wow. Well, nothing's changed and the BB Gundam I'm doing is still not done since I last posted about it. Anyways, Playstation Move came out last week and bought the Move Started Pack, an extra Move Controller and the Nav Controller.

Pretty awesome stuff, as many have mentioned in the interwebz, it's really accurate. Haven't used the MavCon yet though. Also, my Sports Champions game just came in from the mail. Damn Argos didn't deliver it to me last Friday, wont ever buy a game from them again unless I go to their store directly.

And that's it for now. Got games to play, bed to sleep on, work to attend to, etc, etc, etc....

Monday 23 August 2010

Stuff

Well, nothing new. Tis been raining here in London again. Haven't done much Gunpla's the last few days and probably wont be for the next few. :)

Saturday 14 August 2010

Kanpei Gundam #02

Right... 2 days in a row update. :)

Done this a few days ago, I still suck at panel lining. I'll get used to it one day.

Did this earlier. Took a while to colour 'em as it's a mixture of 3 different colours on a single small piece of plastic. I managed somehow so it's all good.

I primered the pieces first and it turned out quite nicely.

Will do the rest some other time as usual. :)

After 1 month -- Motorbike & Gundam

I'm back again.

Motorbike is doing great. Was a bit hard to tame it as it was quite a power jump from 125cc to 645cc but I managed. A few days ago I saw a tiny shard of glass sticking inside the tire that made me panic a bit because the motorbike is brand new and only done about 350 miles. I took out the shard yesterday and to my relief, it wasn't stuck too deep. Pic below:

Shard is stuck just below the tire tread, below the blue line.

My current bike btw with the IXIL Hyperlow exhaust.

Now for an update of Gunpla's, I've decided to put the Noblesse Oblige model aside for a bit and started doing one of my SD Gundam stuff.
Pix of the runners + stickers:

That's it for now... as usual, will post again whenever I feel like it. :)

Friday 9 July 2010

It's here!!

Just went to the Suzuki dealer to pick up my new ride. :)

New Motorbike!!!

That's right!!

Finally managed to get nuff money for a new motorbike. Was initially planning to either get a Triumph Street Triple or the new Honda Hornet but... well, I couldn't thanks to 2 certain banks that got my hopes up and crushing it at the last moment.

Either way, thanks to a certain finance company, I managed to get myself a new Suzuki Gladius. :)
A lot cheaper than those 2 bikes I mentioned above but it's also heavier and has a smaller tank. Read great reviews about the Gladius so I don't think I'll be disappointed.

Oh and btw, I passed my DAS course. Both MOD1+2 passed on my first try with 3 minor faults.

That's the new Suzuki Gladius. 645cc, a 2 cylinder, DOHC, 90 degrees V-Twin engine.

Just look it up here :) :

For security:

Xena XPL Bullet Padlock

And the Almax Immobiliser Series IV Chain + Squire SS65C QC Lock

And finally the aftermarket exhaust - IXIL Hyperlow

And that's it. I'll probably make another update once I get the new bike later this afternoon. Can't wait. :)

Friday 11 June 2010

W00t Updated!!

Well, it's been what... 4+ months or something since I posted? Doesn't really matter. :)

Main reason I suddenly stopped posting is because my motorcycle got stolen, less than a month after it was delivered to me. Fortunately, the loan payment for it was already planned otherwise, I'd probably have sold my TV/PC/PS3/games/etc... just to make up for the loss.

Now for the reason I'm posting. With the accident claim finally received, I now plan to get a new bigger bike. I've taken a Direct Access Scheme course so that I could ride any bike I want without engine restriction. My test is going to be on the 29th so good luck to me.

If everything goes accordingly, I'm going British. I'm purchasing a Triumph Street Triple at the beginning of or mid July. I'll be getting a new chain as those f**king thieves bolt-cropped the chain that I had so easily so I'm getting a 19mm chain link by a company called Almax. This is the chain I'm going to get. Not only am I going to get a chain, I'm also going to invest on a "Tracker Monitor" for motorbikes. So if the motorbike is moved without the key in the ignition, it'll alert the police straight away. The best part about Tracker is, it is also usable/trackable in Spain and France for a peace of mind. :)

Well, that's all the updates for now. Will probably post something once I passed my practical test in 3 weeks and got the bike.

Tuesday 16 February 2010

Noblesse Oblige #02

Here's a small update of the Armored Core I'm doing.

Finished up a bit of the arm part. I'm now panel lining the parts I've done as I'm sure it's going to be a hassle if I do the panel lining after finishing the model.

Will be doing small updates in the meantime 'cause I'm busy playing games. :)
Well, that's all for now.

Friday 12 February 2010

Happy new year!!!!

Well, not really and it's already the middle of February. :)

Anyways... I finally got my motorbike after more than 1 month of waiting for it because of the freezing weather in London. Also bought a new Dainese Santa Monica jacket and an AGV GP Tech helmet which I got very cheap during christmas sale.

As for gunpla updates, I actually planned to do the Strike Noir first but a post in Hongfire Gallery, made me want to do the Kotobukiya Armored Core first.

Finished these two which I believe is part of the shoulder. Will do some more tomorrow.
