Alright... the title is pretty much self-explanatory.
I bought it on a whim(I didn't even pre-order it). Everyone was just talking about the game and luckily(sort of), I wemt to the shop, bought the game, walked out. Even better, it came with the pre-order Atomic Blimp bonus.
So yeah... I have to say, I got hooked and the gunplas will be put aside temporarily. But who knows, I might do some in-between gaming. :)

Quick Update today #01.1
Yes, I'm still working on it, fortunately, on a daily basis.
I'm taking it slowly... prime some 25+ pieces a day then let it dry for 24 hours. So the following day, I would paint it with my desired colour. Simple as. :)
At first, the gold part didn't look as I thought it would but after a while, I got used to it and looked quite alright. I wont be using the aluminium as the base because the gold colour doesn't turn up/materialize (sorry, can't find the proper word for it) too well and takes a lot of paint to actually see it on top so I'm trying out the white base colour.
So far it's looking fine. Will update again once I got the right arm finish. Or probably even before that.

PG Gundam Astray Red Frame ver.2 #01
Alright... continuing from my 2010 post here about airbrushing my first ever Gunpla, the Perfect Grade Gundam Astray Red Frame.
Somehow, I stopped doing it after I finished airbrushing the shield. So starting with this post, I'm going to finish the whole model this time since I don't really have anything else to build. My other un-built gunplas are packed in a box and they're in the storage somewhere.
I'm going to keep the same colour scheme except for the inner frame which I will (try to at least) paint in gold instead of dark red(default colour of the frame).

This was taken back in 2009... 4 years(!!) already.
And another with the Gerbera Straight Sword w/ Shield.

Ryofu Gundam #5 Final!!
Finally completely finished with it. It took a bit longer to make due to me masking, painting anddrying some parts.
The flying platform was quite an experience and I also have to mentioned that metallic colour paint looks really nice. I also bought some canned spray from Amazon... they are made by Hycote and seems to work pretty well on plastic surface and most of all, it's f*ckin cheap @ ~£4.50 for a 400ml can.
And so, here's the final pic. :)
The platform actually has 4 different styles/forms depending on who you combine it with. The current one in the picture isn't really the one for LuBu but I like it that way. :)
As for my next one... I don't know yet although I really want to buy and build one RG Gundam kit. We'll see. Not sure when that's going to be. :)

Ryofu Gundam #4
And here we go!!
The complete build, sans the flying platform thingy. As mentioned on my previous post and as you can see in the pictures, the red paint on the weapon came off scratched. Looking at it now though, it doesn't seem too bad after all.... kinda like a faded effect?! :D

The horse fully assembled beside LuBu.
And here, the horse into a motorbike.
I will probably fully finish it by the beginning of next week.

Ryofu Gundam #3
Here's a quick update before I go to sleep.
The horse/vehicle thing is almost done. I just need to panel line around the gold thingy on the hip then I'm done with it. So the only thing left for me to do is the other vehicle... dunno what it's called.
Also, the spear weapon is done too. Unfortunately, the paint on it still wasn't dry when I slid it inside the hand so I scraped it and the colour came off... kinda sucks. :)

So here are the legs. Just need to panel line around the gold(used gundam markere here) markings.
And here's the horse that transforms. I didn't panel line according to the picture on the box
because it would simply be too hard and my liner is not thin enough so I left out a few.

Airbrush stuff
I have to say... every time I finish airbrushing things, I always impress myself with the work I've done (even though it was a simple paint job :) ).
Those Vallejo paints works pretty neat. It does work, out of the bottle but I'd recommend thinning the paint a wee bit for much better flow. I'm using an airbrush with a nozzle size of 0.35mm so even though it works, the paint doesn't flow as it should... might be better using a bigger, 0.5 nozzle though.
Another thing, panel lining. The recent pigment liner I just bought, IMO, is as good as the Gundam (GM01-200) marker the I (and most likely other people who panel lines) use. It is made by Uni(Mitsubishi) and it's called "Uni Pin" with sizes from 0.05 to 0.7 I believe. Oh, and it's in 5 different colours too. I only have the black though.
Another update probably tomorrow or in a few days.
