Airbrush stuff

I have to say... every time I finish airbrushing things, I always impress myself with the work I've done (even though it was a simple paint job :) ).
Those Vallejo paints works pretty neat. It does work, out of the bottle but I'd recommend thinning the paint a wee bit for much better flow. I'm using an airbrush with a nozzle size of 0.35mm so even though it works, the paint doesn't flow as it should... might be better using a bigger, 0.5 nozzle though.

Another thing, panel lining. The recent pigment liner I just bought, IMO, is as good as the Gundam (GM01-200) marker the I (and most likely other people who panel lines) use. It is made by Uni(Mitsubishi) and it's called "Uni Pin" with sizes from 0.05 to 0.7 I believe. Oh, and it's in 5 different colours too. I only have the black though.

Another update probably tomorrow or in a few days.

Something

No Gundam update today. Hopefully tomorrow but definitely sometime this week.

Been recently watching Harry Potter. Not a fan at all, just curious why almost everyone I know likes it. Currently watching part 6, The Halfblood Prince, and I have to say that I quite like it so far.

On another topic, I bought some crocodile clips and some bamboo sticks for airbrushing. Never really thought about buying them until a couple days ago.... even though I've started airbrushing for more than a year now I believe.
The bamboo sticks I bought are 14"(!!). I knew they were long but they seem to be longer seeing it in person. There are shorter ones but not thick enough to "slot in" to those croc clips. For less than £2(50 pcs), IMO, it's a good deal.

Bought them on eBay btw.

Stuff and Updates

There wont be any updates from me for a while(dunno maybe more than a month again :)). Only thing I can say right now is that I finally started airbrushing my PG Gundam Astray Red Frame. Still puts a smile on my face everything I look at the coloured piece of plastic that I just did a couple of hours ago.

Only bad thing about airbrushing for me is when I'm priming. My room is small and the window is behind my TV so I can't really open it. The problem with the primer is the smell and the fumes(?). Since it is really cold outside so early in the season, well, I can't really do it outside. We'll see how it goes but dang, I should've started airbrushing ever since I got my kit a year ago. :)

Updates as they come.

Airbrush

Right, so I finally used my airbrush kit after gathering dust for more than a year. I've only ever tried it on paper and wasn't too sure whether if it'll look good on plastic models with my skills.

Now that I've tried it though, I'm definitely going to use it on my next one. Here's hoping that it'll turn out OK as far as my skills with airbrush is concerned.... I'm a beginner at it afterall. No fine detailing though as I would most likely mess it up. :)
